BCMS Member List

The British Columbia Multihull Society has a member only e-mail list. It’s purpose is to facilitate communication between members of the BCMS. Typical topics will include, notices of meetings, information about events and answers to multihull questions. This is a “closed” list, therefore list members are not visible to SPAMers. All requests to subscribe (join) will be checked against the membership list, so make sure you have given our membership director your e-mail address.

The mailing list is administrated by a program called Majordomo. To subscribe, send a message to;

bcms-memb-request@interchange.ubc.ca

There is no need for a subject, but the body (text) of the message should start with the following two command lines;

subscribe
end

Your e-mail address will be checked against the member list, by the webmaster, before your subscription is accepted.

F - boat list

This is a discussion group for all F-boat owners, and anyone can join by sending an email to: f-boats-request@stonemarche.org with "subscribe"(without the quotes) in the body of the message. If you have a signature file, you probably want to use "quit" on the next line, to keep it from trying to interpret the signature file as commands, or just disable the signature file. After joining (you will receive a confirmation message) you will receive messages and can post to the list by sending mail to: f-boats@stonemarche.org To clarify, your subscription request message need not have anything in the "Subject", and should contain only the word subscribe in the message itself.
